Being thankful this Holiday season

It is the Holiday season and I love it

Christmas is coming fast I love the season because people are kinder, hope and peace all around.

The vaccine oh almost forget today we finally get the vaccine in the USA for covid 19.   It will be a while before everyone gets the Vaccine. but we now have hope.

I decorated the house with lights and a tree I think of all the Christmas times before. mom loved it so she decorated the whole house we sang Christmas songs to her classic holiday records blasting on the stereo. I remember cooking and mom covered in flour she always said the messier the better it tastes,  miss mom a lot now that I have had cancer I cried during chemo at times in the night wanting her to hold me Like when I little and not feeling well. and then like I said the holiday memories of her are all around me. The decorating the music and the smells of her recipes that I now cook.

this is not an advert but I remember the cardinals we would get so excited when we would see one in our backyard mom loved them as I do today.  I found a saying or meme one day it said cardinals are messengers from heaven from loved ones lost I have heard many versions of this saying and I believe that when I see one it is moms watching over me I saw many when I was going through chemo they made me feel better, well anyway I made an image this year of cardinals for my shop in her memory it did so well I thank everyone so much. here it is. Have a wonderful Christmas everyone.

End November Thanksgiving

Thankful

thankful to be alive and in remission

thankful for my loving husband and so many friends and family who have prayed and kept my spirits up

but this year I have a special thanks  it is to the people who volunteered for testing of vaccines for covid 19

and for all the healthcare workers who have responded and held people during the pandemic.

I am thankful for the scientists and doctors coming up with vaccines.

I am thankful for our troops and the freedoms they fight for.

I am sad that more people are being diagnosed every day with covid 19 and we are up to 250 thousand dead.

I am sad so many are out of work. that we are entering shutdowns and again kids homeschooling.

I am sad so many fight about politics and have forgotten to love one another in some cases.

october- cancer update

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Update waiting on blood work to make a decision on surgery they can either

use a robot to remove the left ovary and large growth but if cancerous will need

additional surgery at providence hospital, or could go to providence and have a huge

belly cut do the same but do additional surgery if needed then and their age and

weight make belly cut surgery more dangerous. and longer recovery. Blood work

should help with decisions.

UPDATE PART 2 so we got a phone call this morning from the doctor they are

calling my case special because of my lymphoma so going to put my case in

front of a surgical forum for women and infants at providence hospital, part of

I say WHAT are you serious! how bad is this? really you are scaring me.

another part says ok having multiple opinions from experts and coming to

the conclusion is what you want the best plan right? talk about tears and confusion

all when I just woke up, well feeling better now thought about it I think anyway.

Don’t let it dominate your life, Donald Trump said this about COVID!

Let me tell you any disease that can kill dominates your life without your permission!!!!!!

you do not let it no it just does!!!!! I can say this with my cancer I didn't do anything to get

follicular lymphoma most do not know what causes this blood cancer like Leukemia children

not alive long enough to have done something to cause it, All cancers dominate lives cancer

makes the person sick and need life-saving treatments that are awful and make you sick,

some die the family goes through a lot caring for the person and if they die a lifetime of

sorrow and pain. don't let it dominate Mr trump? What are you saying? again it dominates

we do not let it we have no control. Mr. Trump you just really do not care about people just

your political garbage is all. over 200 thousand deaths because of COVID a virus and still

you do not care Mr trump I pray for our country all the time. we are not in control it is we can

fight and we do fight to get rid of it to get well we do what doctors say unlike you trump we

fight these monsters. you are lucky sir you walked out with all your meds and steroids but

do not brag instead care about all those lives lost to the disease all the families suffering what

it took from them and to those in hospitals fighting to breathe... Mr. Trump.

this is when i first heard and wrote on facebook

Well, everyone, I have been crying all morning because here we go again. It started with a weird call this morning from gynecology at kent hospital setting an appointment. Huh? Why? Well, something was seen on your ultrasound. Uhhh no, we didn't have an ultrasound but did have a cat scan. Ok, let us call Dr. Joseph's office and find out what is up. So we call oncology (Dr. Joseph) office. They apologize, apparently, the referral got ahead of the call to us. They saw something in CT scan, a mass has moved. What?? so I have a mass on my ovaries that was seen before but it has changed position since then. So they are scheduling all kinds of tests for me starting with vaginal ultrasound. Yuck! And a gynecology exam and pap smear to start, next could be a biopsy and or removal of it or ovaries or more treatments. I am so upset I was really hoping to be one of those many who go years with no issue in remission. And these exams and location upset me so much with some issues I have with anxiety, depression, and PTSD, on top of worries about the stage of it if it is cancerous, and death, crying.

Virus is still out there stacking humans. And people are still argung about having to put masks on when out. We are ok worried but ok. Love you all.
This is first puzzle we did love it and second is pic of next one we are working on.

It has been 6 months since my last chemo The day after thanksgiving a lot to be thankful for and a wonderful Christmas gift finding out I was in remission, I thank all my friends and family and all the doctors and nurses I love you all. it has been a long 6 months in some ways we have the virus going around this year and isolated at home and I am extra cautious, but I have been doing better a bit grumpy and depressed at times but otherwise pretty good, I am grateful for so much, but mostly for my life mine and everyone around me strength love and hope. God bless all those survivors out there and families and hugs and prayers to those still fighting, celebrating life as a survivor is important it shows others what is possible giving so much hope. and reminds our selves as survivors of the strength we possess.

Update May

Well, we are nearing the end of May and it has been 3 mos of isolation because of the virus-like I said before I am kind of used to hanging out at home but I didn't realize the little I did get out and how it always felt really good even getting out for photos at the lake or ocean. Well, what have you all been doing during this time for fun or make the time go by? we have been doing all kinds of stuff from gardening in our yard playing video games and cooking together spring cleaning and movie watching?

I have been keeping a bullet journal since my chemo ended I do art and adult coloring and together with my husband something I hadn't done for years is doing puzzles we enjoy an hour or 2 after dinner working on a puzzle. we also even though older folk do enjoy Xbox and PlayStation games. well stay safe sending hugs.

Coronavirus Thoughts

Seeing as Facebook is also a place to create memory I want to say how the carnivorous is affecting us right now. we have people staying at home because we are told to. people being fired from jobs and laid off because we are told to stay at home.. it has been hard to get through to young people how important it is not to be in crowds that they could get and pass on the virus to the elderly and others who have bad immune systems. store shelves are empty of sanitizer and toilet paper people started selling it online for way higher prices making a buck off of suffering so American no it is so awful.  today the prime minister of England said people must stay at home as well or will get fines and groups will be disbursed by police.

-Famous- who have had it so far Senator Rand Paul, Actor Tom Hanks and his wife, Prince Charles, an NBC sound man for news has died of the disease. it all is so sad these are just a few.

-Vote for Bill-
We have a bill being voted on today (that has been fought over for weeks) first for nursing homes, and for docs, nurses, and for equipment beds, masks, even help for nurses and doctor child care to be paid for.  Then the American workers, almost if not of all your entire salary paid for 4 mo, and called furloughed not unemployed meaning you get your job back you also get $600. extra  in pay you normally received transparency for over-site of money going to corps. money for local and state governments. small business loans that will help them keep going and keep workers.  sounds good so far. the arguments have been about republicans giving money to big corps and friends with no oversite I agree it is for the people not for the rich to have fun with as they want..

-Lies VS Needs-
Sadly today New York still needs tests, masks and so on so either the president is lying about having supplies or he is not allowing it to states he doesn't like, sorry Trumpers in these states or have kids and family in these states. I am not sure NY and other states don't have what they need but they do not so trump lies I guess about having plenty. I must mention president trump hasn't done a great job we as a country soon will pass china on cases of the virus trump could have prevented it one by not disbanding and firing the pandemic group, 2 not calling it a hoax when he called it a hoax made up by dems and letting it spread, consistently lying like saying oh only a few have and it will go away after these few and so and so on. if I or someone I love like or care about dies in the USA I blame the disease but I also will blame him.

-How are We-
anyway we are OK at this point we are staying home and cleaning anything that comes in the house, we enjoy our yard and lucky it is spring, we are doing spring house cleaning and gardening we are playing video games together I love it. we are lucky Jonathan is able to work from home so far no layoffs,

-Deaths-
I have cried for all the deaths in other countries and our own, I read something a friend wrote and it really hit hard and then stories I have heard a lot of and hard on the same topic it is how sad it is people getting the virus how they are taken to the hospital and family isn't allowed to visit it be me or my husband I would be in a full panic you always think will have loved ones with you but many will die with a doctor or nurse they do not know and unable to say goodbye you need to think of this before they go to the hospital say everything you want let them know you will be thinking of them every second that it would be impossible not to feel their presence it will be so much anything to keep them happy and fighting harder and if it has to be they do not die without knowing you and feeling your love. yes when I have read these stories I ball my eyes out for the people going through it and for the thought of me my husband loved ones and friends OMG I love you all I do care you know my heart is huge and it breaks so easy if you know me you know this please take care of your selves please hugs to all  I may add more another day I just wanted this and thoughts in my Facebook and in my blog as a memory of what was going on.

update flush

Jan23 Went for my first port flush since finishing chemo it felt so different being in the same chair I got chemo things seemed so much brighter it was nice seeing the nurses again I will have a few more port flushes before it gets removed I had a choice if I wanted it removed right away or in 3 mo 6 mo or longer I chose 6 mo (which is a popular choice) after my next cancer scans because why take it out when may have to put back in it is surgical and it hurts.. and flushing is like 15 minutes once every 8 weeks. nurses said I looked great.

the port is under my skin and they just use a needle to poke into my skin and into the port it hurts like in the arm a burning sometimes hurts more than others then done they can put stuff in like medicine or draw blood for tests.

my next appointment is for my survivor kit I will write about that when it happens
the next project I am bullet journaling it helps to write moods how I am feeling diet and
more I will share some pages soon I think bullet journaling wold help everyone no matter age or sex. creating it monthly is as fun as writing in it. well again thank you hugs everyone, I am doing well feeling better all the time only issue is breathing and memory which will clear up with time.

christmas new year update 1-3-2020

OMG this Christmas was the most wonderful I have had in years and yes I have had many great ones with my husband but this Christmas was as wonderful as the magical Christmas mornings when I was A kid so full of happiness unlike being a kid I do not think it was about gifts and Santa that made it so wonderful yet the fact I am in remission really it is such a load off my back it was an unforgettable one. we opened small gifts (you can see some below in video memory for ourselves mostly but also a happy new year wish) anyway we gave some small gifts to one another that we loved, cooked together which was awesome I could also eat without feeling sick and we watched Christmas parades and movies it was just such a wonderful day. What else oh shhhh my hair is coming in white but I think I will keep it we will see it is very common after R chop chemo to have white hair it may not stay white but sometimes it does. I like it.

it is now just the beginning of the new year 2020  resolution I don't know I think just to continue listening and going to the doctors doing what I should to stay healthy and to make sure Jonathan gets healthier and pays more attention to his appointments and doctors.

Last an update on my health well it is the third of January and almost everything is getting better strength and just feeling better like I said earlier apatite is back, the only things still happening are breathing issues and my foggy brain - forgetfulness both may take months to get better. but I am so so grateful to be in remission and feeling better and for all of you who have supported me with good wishes and prayers thank you. I use a pedal bike as I sit on the couch and do arm exercises I also do regular housework vacuuming laundry and so on I hope by spring I will be able to work outside we will see. well, I just want to say thank you so much again Hugs all.

I got a few mugs with covers that I love becuase I am always spilling around my computer like with the dog jumping and moving the table just enough and my big blue buddy also non spill if I reach for it during the night or again if Barnaby knocks it and both if fall on the floor won't break and like not spill we also got thumb piano and felt crafting and lots of kitchen fun gadgets and as always looking for practical and fun. and another coloring book for me as I still love relaxing and coloring thanks hon.   it wasn't the gifts it is hard to buy for each other these days fun little things were so awesome this year loved them and just being cancer-free or in remission made it magical I guess becuase it was one of the best I had.

February 14 and 16th what's a family day

My hubby gave me a special Valentine's Day gift, I love sloths. But this is not just a Valentine, but also a Family Day gift...
