Merry Christmas And A Wonderful Holiday Season To All

New House

What a year! Firstly, yes we've moved to a house in New Hampshire, smack on the border of the Lakes Region and the White Mountains (it's the best of both worlds). In a town of only five thousand. This is an even deeper boonies for Lisa, but city boy Jonathan actually wanted the deep woods if we could so this was a compromise. We originally bought it as a vacation house, but loved the area so much that we decided to make it permanent.

We haven't sold the Rhode Island property yet because we have work to get done on it, but will be doing so. Our new home is a two bedroom with two bathrooms. Lisa loves the large open kitchen and living room. It has a huge two-car carport that is more like a garage as it's built-to-house and enclosed on three sides with electricity, all of which Jonathan loves.

The carport leads into a breezeway/family room which was really nice in the summer and fall and we can't wait to enjoy this spring. Jonathan built new stairs up into the kitchen from the breezeway. The large kitchen is open to the living room which Lisa loves (did we mention that before, well she loves it enough that it's worth mentioning again).

The master bedroom is ensuite, with a garden tub and shower. There's a nice back deck off the kitchen, a decent-sized shed, and a laundry closet off the kitchen. The small guest bathroom has a shower and the other bedroom we are using as an office and craft room. But the awesome surprise is an unfinished room behind the breezeway in the back of the master bedroom that we are going to make into a sunroom for plants and sitting. Right now it has no access from inside the house, you have to walk outside and around the carport to get to it. So the plan is to turn the huge closet in the breezeway into two small closets with a door out to the new "sunroom" between them.

We've got a lake down the road and are just 15 minutes from Winnipesaukee. The White Mountains start just up the road and Lisa remembers her Mom always saying how she loved them. And it's just so quiet, we love it. We've seen foxes, turkeys, and deer. And yes, we've already had a bear right outside the carport. As soon as he hears or sees you he runs off, just like any black bear.

Health

Our health has been mostly good this year. Lisa is celebrating three years of Lymphoma remission and one year from Ovarian Cancer surgery.

Jonathan's Rheumatoid Arthritis is still very bad, and he has flares that can be really bad, but his hernia surgery seemed to help some other issues. We have maintained our weight loss from last year and are going on a new diet to lose more this year.

We are just about completely off red meat, eating veggie burgers, turkey, and chicken, although Jonathan rarely still has a burger. We are back to more salads and skipping the bread and rolls again, this will be a big help again for us both as it was in the past.

We have been lucky not to get COVID or Flu, or even much of a cold these last couple of years.

Our Pup

Chosette (usually called Cozy), our Beagle-Poo is great, she is just full of love and joy often jumping into our arms for kisses. She loves playing ball, and with her many toys, or just sleeping on our laps. She is "Cozy" for sure.

Work

Jonathan is still at Citizens and doing well, working from home which is nice. Lisa still does photography when she can, also drawing and crafts. We still have our shop at Zazzle, an adult cancer coloring book of Lisa's on Amazon, and are setting up an Etsy shop for crafts. also, we lost aunt sis this year we miss her so much please visit a memorial page I made for her here with some pics I had.

Have a wonderful Christmas and new year
