Entering summer updates and pics

Well hello, and welcome to the summer that is sneaking in we have a lot of spring with so much rain this year but also the hot and humid summer. I haven't been able to pull fully from the winter gloom and depression I get. I will get in the groove of summer soon.

HEALTH

so lots to report seeing as a lot of this blog has been health-related as well as family and opinions recipes and just stuff I will start with health just saw doc and had a mammogram and last year had that smile box test that comes in the mail and both big tests came back no cancer yay very happy, waiting on my blood work to come back should hear by end of the week. I am hoping to have the arm diabetic monitored after tests and find out about my blood cancers my family doc now in charge of it because been almost 5 years cancer free. hope diabetes and cancer and liver and pancreas all come back ok so many meds and such went through my body these last several years I worry. and since the cancer, I have been weaker and have had a hard time building muscle back and am working still on breathing exercises to expand my lungs back to where they were before chemo. I use a blowing ball and also hold my breath for short times. but I will keep going because I want to keep going ya know? I feel lucky to have what I have wich is a lot to me.

Yup hey, I am also blessed to be here and well now, and have so many who care.  so still on health topics my knees and hips are pretty bad these days so I rest more between tasks and use a cane at times. but I do push I have mowed the lawn twice weed whacked done some fix-it projects and more so I am again grateful I can still do stuff and am alive. Jonathan is also waiting for test results and he still has a lot of arthritis and joint pain. Jonathan also had a nice visit with uncle ned beginning of spring which was nice.

Cozy had her first vet visit in nh and did well all good since her escape after smells and running all the way to a busy fast road to the chickens and deer and a storage business I had to pretend I was hurt and crying to get her back was so worried and angry all at once she also had 2 tics I had to remove, well now she has a new gate system and GPS tags wow I still take a deep breath now thinking of her travels that day.

I am drawing a lot these days and starting photography again soon also setting up an Etsy store by the holidays we hope. depression of winter and rain and joint pain and other health stuff has slowed me a little but I will get going. Spring is here

Spring is finally here well I think anyway so now is spring cleaning and gardening.

I can't wait to get the out side of the new Hampshire house looking good with a women's touch with flowers and more decor.

It had been a long winter but so pretty.

We had a bunch of turkeys in our yard during mating season as the snow melted. Lots of crows during the winter. But finally they have moved in and the small wild back yard birds have returned I think of mom and my aunt sis as I write and watch them.

I miss my lilacs so I am going to plant some with some rose bushes this year.

Let's see health, well no cancer as far

As I know saw oncologist and he said I will see him in a year and then done I will do maintenance with regular doc. So a bit nervous about that along wit very happy.

Trying to loose more weight we have been able to only maintain the weight loss a year ago so a new push this summer.as we hope to be outside more swimming photography gardening and more.

Cozy our pup is doing great she loves bh

Well I will try and write more often as we get more and more settled I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter or beginning of spring hugs all.

Another New Year 2023

well it is a New Year we are almost moved in The New house. We celebrated Christmas and New years in our New home. We have had dot of snow here in nh. I love how pretty it all is.

Jonathan hates all the work and worriers with so much of that white stuff but still enjoys our new home.

We used the mini snowblower and shoveled a week ago 8 to 10 inches we did great as a team although we do worry at times will we be a sustistc of older person with heal try h issues having a heart atac while shoveling out a driveway. We have had more snow since and way below zero temps but all is ok our hot water was down for a day but came back no problem it defrosted on its own.

We took cozy to the store shopping with us which seems calm on around here she was wanting e to pick her up at first but then road well with Jonathan in the stores scooter on a blanket.

Cozy loves the snow and as far as shoveling , Oh well I just think of it as exercise I so desperately need during these cold winter months. Keep scrolling for pics hugs everyone.

End year Christmas post

Yearly message update

Merry Christmas And A Wonderful Holiday Season To All

New House

What a year! Firstly, yes we've moved to a house in New Hampshire, smack on the border of the Lakes Region and the White Mountains (it's the best of both worlds). In a town of only five thousand. This is an even deeper boonies for Lisa, but city boy Jonathan actually wanted the deep woods if we could so this was a compromise. We originally bought it as a vacation house, but loved the area so much that we decided to make it permanent.

We haven't sold the Rhode Island property yet because we have work to get done on it, but will be doing so. Our new home is a two bedroom with two bathrooms. Lisa loves the large open kitchen and living room. It has a huge two-car carport that is more like a garage as it's built-to-house and enclosed on three sides with electricity, all of which Jonathan loves.

The carport leads into a breezeway/family room which was really nice in the summer and fall and we can't wait to enjoy this spring. Jonathan built new stairs up into the kitchen from the breezeway. The large kitchen is open to the living room which Lisa loves (did we mention that before, well she loves it enough that it's worth mentioning again).

The master bedroom is ensuite, with a garden tub and shower. There's a nice back deck off the kitchen, a decent-sized shed, and a laundry closet off the kitchen. The small guest bathroom has a shower and the other bedroom we are using as an office and craft room. But the awesome surprise is an unfinished room behind the breezeway in the back of the master bedroom that we are going to make into a sunroom for plants and sitting. Right now it has no access from inside the house, you have to walk outside and around the carport to get to it. So the plan is to turn the huge closet in the breezeway into two small closets with a door out to the new "sunroom" between them.

We've got a lake down the road and are just 15 minutes from Winnipesaukee. The White Mountains start just up the road and Lisa remembers her Mom always saying how she loved them. And it's just so quiet, we love it. We've seen foxes, turkeys, and deer. And yes, we've already had a bear right outside the carport. As soon as he hears or sees you he runs off, just like any black bear.

Health

Our health has been mostly good this year. Lisa is celebrating three years of Lymphoma remission and one year from Ovarian Cancer surgery.

Jonathan's Rheumatoid Arthritis is still very bad, and he has flares that can be really bad, but his hernia surgery seemed to help some other issues. We have maintained our weight loss from last year and are going on a new diet to lose more this year.

We are just about completely off red meat, eating veggie burgers, turkey, and chicken, although Jonathan rarely still has a burger. We are back to more salads and skipping the bread and rolls again, this will be a big help again for us both as it was in the past.

We have been lucky not to get COVID or Flu, or even much of a cold these last couple of years.

Our Pup

Chosette (usually called Cozy), our Beagle-Poo is great, she is just full of love and joy often jumping into our arms for kisses. She loves playing ball, and with her many toys, or just sleeping on our laps. She is "Cozy" for sure.

Work

Jonathan is still at Citizens and doing well, working from home which is nice. Lisa still does photography when she can, also drawing and crafts. We still have our shop at Zazzle, an adult cancer coloring book of Lisa's on Amazon, and are setting up an Etsy shop for crafts. also, we lost aunt sis this year we miss her so much please visit a memorial page I made for her here with some pics I had.

Have a wonderful Christmas and new year

We have moved to NH November Update

Ok, yup not around much we have been so busy,  ( We have bought a new home and have no mortgage woot woot, can you guess where?  I am sure many can with pics we have shared lately we have moved to NH right smack on the border of the lakes region and white mountain region seriously one direction takes us to the beach down the road the other to the white mountains and we can take the Mt Washington boat ride from the lakes region lol , )

I am loving so much about where we are living in NH Like the quiet is awesome for one, and the wildlife for another, we even had a bear in the front yard as we were unpacking we just yelled and he took off running lol. we have seen fox, (and deer every day in a field down the main road to town sadly I think they are being farmed), we have also seen wild turkeys and crows out front as well as the typical squirrels chipmunks skunks raccoons, and birds that we are used too. our home is on the edge of a forest. we will likely see moose soon enough they say and are moose crossing signs everywhere. we still have our RI house for now. hoping to get a boat for either Squam Lake down the road or Lake Winnipesaukee or Lake Winnisquam I can't wait.

The only negative is that the deer issue I mentioned it bugs me, and we don't even have Dominos Pizza, chic fillet, KFC, or any chicken place when we don't eat red meat any longer when I was a teen 40 years ago in keen NH we had all those things lol, well anyway a big problem though is we do not even talk delivery very little and rides well private from a persons home cab. but I still love it here. They do have a wonderful elderly service for our future, they have a big center for activities, meal home deliveries rides home check-ins, and so on takes away worries about the future in our elderly years like I said. wow NH, it is beautiful. also so much is co-op which is different even electricity is a co-op it is kind of cool. then, of course, the beauty of the mountains in winter and fall is so wonderful and the lakes in summer.

Cozy Cosette loves it she has the back deck and a long carport for running and the house flows so well for her to run around she hates it when we go back to RI to work on the house she is happy to be with us but so much quieter.

Well for now I have to get to work I want to wish everyone a wonderful holiday season

Hugs All

End Of June Thoughts

End of June thoughts.

Well, we are more moved into the NH home we bought, and we are loving it, and so is Chosette our dog who we have taken to calling Cosi (Cozy). It's a very appropriate nickname as she is the coziest dog we've ever had. So what we have done so far? Well, we've done a lot of cleaning, painting, and some yard clearing. Soon we will have a big moving truck trip for the big stuff. Not a lot though, we bought remote control adjustable beds and a reclining couch for the NH house, and the house came with built-in wall ovens, built-in island countertop burners, a newer fridge than we have in RI, a washer and dryer, three beautiful new chair stools for the counter bar, and an awesome swivel rocker that I recovered to match our new couch.

Mid-July. Next trip and first a swim at Squam lake ❤

Or maybe Winnipesaukee. We hope to rent a boat this trip, but have so much to do.

I really need to get my cancer checks done and regular checkups and start looking for new docs out here in NH.

Let's see in the news is still a Russia/Ukraine war, still high gas, and other goods prices. Airports can't get flights out on time or at all because not enough workers due to covid. Roe v Wade was overturned by a new conservative Supreme Court and women are angry. Well, that's what's big in the news.

Oh, I got my new teeth! Check 'em out! Hugs everyone, see you here next month.

End May thoughts

End May thoughts 2022

Another month almost over, got me thinking how fast time flies so I want to sit
Down at least once a month just think about it and write a bit.

This Is a perfect fist month and post. So many changes are coming. We bought a home in New Hampshire near lake winnipasaki and white mountains. We also finally got a car so I am happy sick of Uber and rentals. It is a nice Mazda sport. So we are slowly moving going back and fourth staying both places a few days a week. - Being in nh is wonderful but makes me miss mom dad and Aunt Sis who passed away recently so much more but I could say in a good way too.
Thoughts about The world right now, to Be honest never liked Putin and Russians who voted him in and now he is killing innocent Ukrainians just because they wanted to join us all in NATO it is so sad seeing this war but ukrain citizens  are putting up a heck of a fight. Amazing.to see.
Because of the war We are going through a gas shortage, California gas is over 6 bucks a gallon. Hard to go anywhere - here its 4 and 5 bucks in places. Also Amazon products have doubled in price groceries the same it is crazy. And another school shooting..several 5th graders dead and 2 teacher's why can't we love our kids and one another more than we love guns. Well. Till next time hugs to you all have a wonderful summer.
